Key issues / Recommendations

As to the key role of community radios, participants agreed it was crucial to equip radios with ade-quate digital recorders and computers, to continuously train journalists to fully grasp preparedness plans on DRR.

A special recommendation was made to train journalists, community radio stations, and other media to communicate climate information and services and enhance their interpretation (using local languages) and extension support.
